I don't know what to think of the use of the spouse of the candidate as fodder. Unless she was burning crosses on someone's lawn, or had a collection of human heads in her fridge and a suit made of skin from her victims, I'd prefer to leave her out of this. People are entitled to say whatever they want. My wife says some pretty outrageous thinsg sometimes, and I just have to sit back and let her rant. Usually we talk about the issue later. Same goes for me. If we're using spouses of the candidates as the measure of their character, Hillary should have long ago been burnt at the stake. I don't agree with Hillary, don't support her, but also don't impugn the actions of her husband against her (unless I believe her to be involved in his dealings...like those questionable pardons on Bill's exit from office, or a few other suspicious incidents (travelgate, whitewater, etc). One of the few issues that would really call my attention would be corruption, and whether the candidate was aware of the corruption and what the candidate is doing to prevent future corruption. Bill saw Hillary as a liability after the whole health care debacle in the 90's and cut her off in many ways. I'm sure she stilll had her hand in things (as previously indicated), but Bill did the "right" thing in letting Hillary know her limitations, and letting the public know as well.
